Lightning strike echo?
I was wondering, but would lightning strike, combined with echo be a good way to deal dmg? It may not be the best combo, but I just thought about it.

No.
First off, your Lightning Strike spamming is killed when the echoed version needs to recharge. Secondly: did you mean [wiki]Arcane Echo[/wiki] or [wiki]Echo[/wiki]? I don't see why anyone would want to waste an elite slot on that. Thirdly, Mind Blast deals more damage, and is stunningly good energy management at the same time. It costs the same as Strike and has a quicker recharge - only difference is it's Fire Damage as opposed to Lightning.

Spamming a weak damage spell isn't a spike.
It's hardly even very good pressure damage, a physical merely attacking is comparable damage.

Conjure lightning + wand + occasional invoke lightning and lightning hammer = more damage than lightning strike spam. And more energy efficient despite how bad it is.

It isn't a spike if you're just hitting spells on recharge. 5 eles together can spike with air, one ele alone cannot.
If you're playing alone, air is the blind line, not the spike line. If you want damage, just take fire like everyone else.

Yes, I know fire has a high damage out put, but I don't like the fire lie that much. I did it once, and I got bored of it. I also like making builds that have a good damage, and are never thought of to be made.

I started out as Air myself. I never used Fire until I had beaten all of Prophecies.
Air does have good damage, but it's not AoE and it doesn't clear out the crowds of monsters. The armor penetration gives really good damage.
Lightning Strike is not a good spell to echo. It doesn't deal a lot of damage and it has a very low recharge. Try using Lightning Orb, Lightning Hammer, Lightning Surge(e) and Lightning Javelin. Invoke Lightning(e) is quite good. It's the closest you can get to AoE with air. Chain Lightning is it's non-elite exhaustion inducing relative.
Blinding Flash and Whirlwind can do pretty well against melee. So can Blinding Surge(e).
There are other good Air spells out there... I'm just too lazy to tell you more.
